The Samsung Galaxy On Max has been listed on Flipkart as an exclusive. Samsung seems to think that that the device will “redefine the way people click and share pictures”; we’ll have to see how that turns out when the time comes.
GSMArena points out that the device simply appears to be a rebranded J7 Max, and looking at the specifications and design, it’s hard to argue the point. As with the J7 Max, the device comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD IPS screen (1920×1080), 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory. According to Flipkart, the device is running on a Mediatek MTK P25 Lite Octa-core processor that can hit a maximum frequency of 2.39 GHz. The device draws power from a 3,300 mAh battery.
For cameras, you get a 13 MP f/1.7 rear camera and a 13 MP f/1.9 front camera. They can record Full HD video at 30 fps.
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.2 support with A2DP and LE is included. The USB connector is of the microUSB 2.0 standard. A fingerprint sensor is mounted on the front.
Samsung has added support for Samsung S-Pay to the device and this enables payment via UPI and mobile wallet.
The device should be available in black and gold and will retail on Flipkart for Rs 16,900. Unfortunately, the release date for the device hasn’t been confirmed and it is only listed as “coming soon” on the e-commerce site.
