Prisma, which was last year’s app of the year, has come up with Sticky AI, which will turn pictures into stickers. These can be sent to friends via WhatsApp, iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Snapchat, and Line.
Prisma, a product of a Russian app developer, used a neural network and artificial intelligence to transform pictures into artwork. It will now use this technology to convert pictures into stickers. Also known as the selfie sticker app, snaps can be imported or be shot. Once taken, the app automatically removes the background, especially objects kept near a person. It gives an option to give a white border to the picture, adding a cut-out style look to the stickers. Options for the background are limited, while white is the default background color. It has a text option as well to add a quirky description to the picture. Apparently, the filters currently available are animated ones.
One can also use Boomerang. However, when this is shared by any messaging app, it comes out in the form of a GIF. These stickers are saved in the app and can be edited for any future use. It only selects snap of humans and not objects. The GIFs created are not too clear, especially if an object is in the frame. It is great for selfies.
Currently, this app is available only on iOS 10 and above, iPad, iPhone, and Mac. As per the website, it is coming soon on Google Play.
